Combat Veteran of Iraq War. U.S. Paratrooper and Long Range Surveillance Soldier. Comic Illustrator for Stars and Stripes (Gunston Street). Finished (retired) military career in the U.S. Navy. Sailing qualifications in Basic and Basic Coastal Cruising.

University of Michigan Alumna. Integrates mindfulness-based therapies such as Acceptance and Commitment Therapy for Trauma and Dialectical Behavior Therapy in an outpatient setting. Prior employment: Spectrum Human Services, Ozone House – a local youth shelter, Washtenaw County Community Support and Treatment Services (CMH), and the Ann Arbor VA Hospital. Experience working with clients struggling with a variety of concerns, such as: depression, anxiety, eating issues, substance abuse, sexual assault and rape trauma, grief, and communication within intimate relationships. LGBTQ ally and former Sexual Assault and Rape Response Team Advocate at Safe House Center, a domestic violence shelter. Client-centered and Trauma-informed Clinician. American Sailing Association Basic Sailing and Basic Coastal Cruising Qualification and Yacht Delivery Crew.

Master’s Degree in Social Work, Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology. Specialist in clinical social work with an emphasis on utilizing evidence-based therapy models such as Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) and Prolonged Exposure Therapy (PE). Experience working with co-occurring disorders utilizing an integrated approach. Certified PE trauma therapist. Veteran Community Action Team (VCAT) volunteer for incarcerated veteran counseling. Basic Sailing and Basic Coastal Cruising qualification.
